Christmas is almost here, friends! To honor this special – and yes, busy – week, I thought I’d post a few Christmas songs I’ve been enjoying this season so far. I hope they bless your week as well.
I can’t even begin to list my top favorite Christmas songs. I have a feeling I’d start the list and it would grow and grow with no clear end in sight. There would be the hymns, the classics, and the old records my Mom used to play. You can see why I start playing those beloved tunes in November… much to my hubby’s dismay I might add. 😉
I hope you’ll enjoy the few I’ve included below to share with you. And please, be sure to share one of your favorites of the season with me in the comments below. I’m curious… and always on the lookout for more! Shhh! Just don’t tell my hubby! 😉
————————————————————————————————————————-
This first one is a fairly new song to me, but a beautiful one nevertheless. I saw the group Downhere in concert a few years ago and they sang it just as beautifully then. 😉
Next up is one I used to listen to on cassette tape. Yep, that’s right. 😉 I recently re-discovered it on Spotify and was so blessed by this worship medley. I fall more in love with the words – and my Savior – every time I hear it. I hope you’ll take the time to listen through the whole song. I promise you won’t regret it.
If you’ve not heard of these guys below – The Piano Guys – you’re in for a real treat! This is just one of many of theirs I love!
And last but not least, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite crooners – Michael Buble – singing my wish for all of you. 😉 Have a Merry Little Christmas!!
What is YOUR favorite Christmas song?
Which of these from above have you heard before, if any?
I’ve heard Michael.. My old but new singers is Pentatonix – Mary Did You Know.. love this version.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifCWN5pJGIE and they have other Christmas songs that are beautiful..
Merry Christmas
Hi Deanna! That’s a beautiful song as well. 🙂 Pentatonix has a lot of beautiful Christmas songs! Thanks for stopping in. Have a great weekend!
Hi, Savanna ~ What a fun post you’ve shared with us! My favorite Christmas hymns are ‘O Holy Night’ and ‘In the Bleak Midwinter.’ They are both so beautiful and heartfelt–they touch my heart each time I hear them. My favorite secular Christmas song is ‘Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons’ written by Willie Nelson and sung by Glen Campbell. Awesome lyrics with a pretty melody. Merry Christmas, all! All my holiday best, June
Hi June! It’s so nice to see you here. Thanks for visiting during such a busy time. 😉 I’ll definitely have to check out the songs you mentioned. I love “O Holy Night”. It’s impossible for me to pick just one favorite. Happy Holidays, my friend!
Hi, Savanna!
These are beautiful songs! I’d heard the ones by Downhere and Michael Buble’, but not the others! I’m always on the lookout for good Christmas music, too! Some of my favorite Christmas albums are from Amy Grant, Josh Groban, Selah, Sarah Groves, Natalie Grant and “Smoky Mountain Christmas” by WordHarmonics.
I LOVE Spotify! 🙂
Hi Natalie! Thanks for visiting. I love Spotify too! 😉 Those are all great albums you mentioned, especially Josh Groban and Selah! I’m glad you enjoyed the music. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
