I also find it rather difficult to say what I want. I prefer to write, or even type over speaking to someone, because I can play with the words. One little word can change the meaning and tone of a sentence or paragraph. Also, when I write, I might say what I really want to the first time, but then I can change it, which works really well for me when I’m upset. The same isn’t true of speaking. I can erase a written word, I can’t take back a spoken one.
One of the verses I always remember about words is Matthew 12:34b, “For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.”
