Welcome to the blog, Donna. I’m so happy to have you here today. Congratulations on your new release, Double Jeopardy!
What do you love most about your hero and your heroine in this story?
I love that Becky is spunky and willing to take chances. After all, she left civilization in New York City and headed west to find her father who she hasn’t heard from in a year. And when she gets there, she’s faced with one tough decision after another, yet she perseveres.
And Zeke, the hero, is a diamond in the rough. Raised in ranching country in southwestern Colorado, he has one dream: settle down and live out his life on the land his family has owned for generations. Yet when this damsel in distress, as he views her, needs his help, he puts his life on hold.
What will you remember most about writing this book?
The excitement of holding my first traditionally published, full length historical in my hand.
Love it! That is so exciting!
Which heroine from any book would you like to be? Why?
I’d like to be Miss Marple, only at about thirty rather than her seventy or eighty. Her mind was so sharp, she was so observant of people and situations, and made connections that most would think tenuous at best.
What’s one of your favorite things about being an author?
I love bringing the voices in my head to life on the page.
What upcoming book(s) are you excited to read this year?
All of them 🙂 Seriously, I have a reading list that would likely stretch from here to the moon.
I know the feeling! 🙂
Is there anything else you’d like to add? Any upcoming projects you can share with us?
My next historical will be a covered wagon story set in 1878, and is based on a real stagecoach robbery. It releases in May just in time for Mother’s Day. Stay tuned on social media for announcements.
Sounds like another great story! We’ll be watching for it. Thanks so much for joining us today. 🙂
