This applies in two ways for me. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover (be careful not to judge on a quick glance, you might miss out on something great)and along with that just because you think you might know what is going on doesn’t mean you do. Many times I think I have a story figured out just for it to take an unexpected turn! The same goes for life!

We often know what’s going on in another character’s head or other events that happen. It’s why if you are really into the story, you find yourself getting frustrated with the characters and saying things like, “Why are you doing that?!” But we see the bigger picture. And isn’t that how it is with God and us? That’s why it is so important to trust Him even when we don’t understand. That’s how reading has affected my perspective on life. 🙂
