Hi Trixi! I would definitely encourage you to add this series to your reading list. I know, I know… the list is getting long, isn’t it? 😉 I often forget too much of history as well and I’m so glad for authors such as Jocelyn who take their work seriously to entertain AND educate through their stories. The particular time period around the Civil War just pulls at my heart. There is still SO much history to uncover there. It breaks my heart, but it also inspires me too. I’m not real good at remembering history, so this one would be a good read for me. I do enjoy books that talk about slavery & the people who try to abolish it or stand against it. Such a tragic time in our history! I can imagine Sophie’s struggle as she stands against her father, working with Bella to betray the Rebels. I know I would enjoy this one. I also have one of Jocelyn’s books on my Kindle that I need to read as well. Thanks for sharing your review!
