I typically do not start my posts this way, but perhaps I should–how are you doing?  These past several months have been filled with so much uncertainty, and I continually pray that future months will be better.  As we move into October, so many will say, how can it be October already?  Yet, for me, this entire year has felt 300 years long.  How about you?

In lieu of present circumstance, what are you doing to add joy to your life these days?  Focusing on the Lord is a big part of that equation, and also calling friends and family makes the top of the list.  For many of us, we are still unable to visit our loved ones, and that personal connection is so vital for us to endure one day to the next.  The Lord did not create us to social distance, even though we must do so now, and with our lives altered so much, it can be challenging and sometimes even exhausting to reach out to others.  I urge you to be archaic with me today–forget emailing, texting, or using Skype–actually pick up the phone and call someone.  🙂  Hearing their voice–this one act alone can make you feel so much better, and it adds so much to the other person’s day too.  Then go for a walk in this lovely fall weather we are having.  🙂

I am praying for you friends–Savanna and I both think of you often.  Take heart in the goodness of the Lord, because no matter the changing season, He is with us always!

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
