I usually bake my from-scratch pumpkin pies (using Sugar Pie Pumpkins I pick out of the Farmer’s market and cook myself) & a batch of chocolate chip cookies for Christmas dinner. I honestly don’t bake as much as I used to, we simply don’t need to eat like that anymore….much to the chagrin of my husband that is, lol! But he knows I’ve been cooking healthier for our good 🙂

I really enjoyed the author interview. Your favorite scripture is mine as well. It reminds me that God has His best interest in mind for me no matter the circumstance. And I can rest in knowing He’s in control. Isn’t that a wonderful feeling? 🙂
I also didn’t realize you were a former ER nurse! Writing stories from your experience in the field would make them more realistic! My mom is a retired LPN and I have many family members in the medical field, I believe one of my aunts is an ER nurse too. It’s a fascinating profession, I went through CNA classes with the intent of eventually becoming an LPN but I found out real quick I couldn’t stomach some things….lol! It’s not for everybody & I sure admire those in your field of work! Thank you for the chance to win a copy of “By Your Side”! I love medical fiction, (think Harry Kraus or Richard Mabry)so I’d know I’d enjoy your books.
Savanna, your introductions of new-to-me authors are much appreciated as you add to my reading addiction…haha! I LOVE it 🙂

In reply to Anne Payne. I forgot to tell you what I enjoy baking. Years ago I baked a lot of cookies, mostly Sugar cookies pressed out in different shapes. I bake Chocolate Chip Cookies now because I cheat and use the pre-made dough from Sam's Club. I know. Shocking to admit! :)

Such a joy to be hosted here–and a delight to read all the comments. You are making my mouth water with the baked goodies. Christmas traditions are so wonderful. I bake gingerbread cookies every year, and love piping my grand children’s names on them. Even better, some of the grands are old enough to help bake now–priceless.
