Happy 4th of July friends! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday today–please eat some hamburgers and hotdogs for me! 🙂
Today we celebrate America’s birthday, and we remember those who fought so hard to protect our country and those who were there when American first began. Considering the history of the USA today helps us to understand why July 4th is so important, and I am so grateful and honored to call this great land my home. What festivities do you have planned for the 4th and are there any fun traditions your family enjoys?
With all that is going on in the world, we also want to take a moment to pray for our country and for you. Please let us know how we can pray for your needs in the comments below. Savanna and I wish you a happy and healthy 4th! God bless!
Hi Heather and Savanna!
I would love prayers for my almost 91 year old dad. He’s been in the hospital since Tuesday. Thanks!
Absolutely! We’ll be praying for him–keep us posted.
Yes, dear friend! We are praying for your dad and for your whole family. Hoping for a quick recovery and a good report soon. Hugs to you!
Happy 4th to you girls.
We have several in our Church that were recently diagnosed with cancer.
Our pastor’s father in law, who is also a friend from our previous Church up in St. Louis, is recovering from brain surgery. He fell a few months ago and was hospitalized for several months. Now he is in the hospital again and his wife just got in to see him. Some missionary friends of ours are sick in Guatemala. Their daughter , who is a missionary doctor, sent them some medication and they are doing better but they are in a remote place.
Our oldest son is far from the Lord. He voluntarily disappeared several months ago. Doesn’t even know my husband’s mother died.
Thanks sooo much! Blessings to you and your families.
Oh, Paula, my heart goes out to you for all the people on YOUR heart right now. So many hard and heartbreaking situations. Yes, we are praying and we will continue to lift up your friends, your son, and your family in this hard time. May God grant much peace and healing to all of you. Hugs!!
Oh my goodness Paula–I will be praying for each of the individuals you mentioned. Many hugs!
Hello ladies!
I would love for you to keep my husband and myself in your prayers. He has surgery scheduled on July 22nd to remove a tumor presumed to be cancerous. It’s also in a very delicate spot and we are both very worried. He is not sleeping well and feels like crap and surgery is still several weeks away.
Patty, We will most definitely be praying for both of you. I understand how challenging and scary it can be preparing for surgery–please keep us posted.
Of course, Patty! We will be praying for you and your husband. So sorry to hear of all you’re both going through, but I’m grateful our God is with you. Prayers for healing, for peace of mind, and reminders of the Lord’s goodness. Hugs!
