Welcome to the blog, Sharee. I’m so happy to have you join us today. Congratulations on your new release, Secret Past. I’m reading it right now and I’m hooked! 🙂
Who are you most excited for readers to meet in your story and why?
Katie and Daniel of course! Not only because they’re the heroine/hero but because they have a fun bantering kind of relationship.
I’ve loved getting to know them! 🙂
Without giving away too many secrets, can you tell us what your favorite scene to write was?
I love action scenes and often have my family help me act out the scene so that I can get a more realistic feel. Without a spoiler, I can tell you there’s a scene where Daniel has to free himself, so that meant requesting my husband to volunteer to be tied up and then seeing if he could get out of the restraints in the way I wanted to Daniel to.
Haha! Way to go, hubby! That’s what I call a supportive spouse. 😉
What’s something your readers would be surprised to know about you?
I am the recipient of two corneal transplants.
Wow, that’s incredible!
Can you share with us a fond lesson and/or memory from one of the contests you’ve participated in?
My favorite contest is the Wisconsin Fabulous Five because I won it in 2017 with this book (although it was title Believable Lies at that time). It was my first contest win and I received the most beautiful plaque.
That’s awesome! Love seeing the journeys our stories take on the road to publication.
What was the last book you read and what will you remember most about it?
I absolutely loved Waiting for Butterflies by Karen Sargent. It takes a lot to make me cry and that book had me sniffling big time.
Awww, I want to read that one!!
Is there anything else you’d like to add? Any upcoming projects you can share with us?
Savanna, thank you so much for having me. I am so thankful to be here! I’ve always got my hand in several simultaneous projects. Currently, I’m working on another romantic suspense story as part of a new series and have my hard hat on as I’m under construction with it.
That’s exciting, Sharee. I’m so glad you stopped by to chat today. I can’t wait for other readers to enjoy your story as much as I have. 🙂

I love that you used your hubby in a scene! This books sounds really good, I’d love tomread it.
Isn’t that great? That story made me smile. 🙂 Thanks for joining us, Perrianne.
Sharee, I picked up your book today! Your husband is great helping you get the action scenes just right.
I have Karen’s Waiting for Butterflies on my TBR pile, so I’m glad to know you recommend it. Congratulations and blessings for your debut!
Thanks, Savanna, for doing the interview and hosting Sharee.
So happy you could join us, Sherida. Hope you enjoy Sharee’s book as much as I did. 🙂
Sharee, I agree with Perrianne! How funny that you tied up your hubby! I’m so excited for your debut and hope this is the first of many book release days you get to celebrate! And sniffle-sniffle–thanks for reading Butterflies. I guess this makes us a mutual admiration society…of 2. 🙂
Now I really want to read Butterflies!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by to chat, Karen.
I have read and really enjoyed this book.
That’s great, Ann. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Looking forward to reading your book! I also enjoyed reading your interview.
So glad you enjoyed our chat, Hannah. We appreciate you visiting. Good luck in the drawing!
I can’t remember the last book that made me cry. I love suspense stories. Can’t wait to read this one.
Hope you get to read it soon, Kim! 🙂
I haven’t cried in a book in a long time so it is hard to say which one made me cry. I love reading and a good book is hard to beat.
I love connecting with fellow readers. Thanks for visiting, Melanie!
I just cried over The Lost Castle by Kristy Cambron.
Ohhhh, me too! Such a beautiful story. Love all of Kristy’s books. 🙂
Hey, I’m a guy so I can’t answer your question. LOL! Actually many of them do, especially when a character who has been struggling finds faith in Christ.
Haha, Edward. So glad you could join us. I loved your answer too. Those are the best kind of stories.
Old yeller made me cry.
Definitely! 😉
A couple of books by Marie Bostwick. She is a really good author and she makes me cry. Your book looks really good and I would love to read it.
She’s a new-to-me author, Faith. I’ll have to look her up now. 🙂
Enjoyed your interview. Thanks for a chance to win your book. It sounds very interesting.
Thanks, Brenda. Good luck in the giveaway!
It takes a lot to make me cry to and so it was too long ago. I can’t remember the last book that made me cry. 🙂
Sincerely, Amada (pronounced: a.m.a.th.a)
I’ve had several make me tear up lately. I must be getting more emotional in my old age. 🙂
Any book where children are being used.
Joan
Ah, yes those would definitely be hard to read. Very heartbreaking.
The Butterfly and the Violin or The Mark of the King.
Both of those are amazing stories. Thanks for sharing, Paula.
The Bible…I can’t think of a fiction book that I’ve read in the past year that made me cry… I’m afraid to cry…while growing up my dad would tell me if I cried, he’d give me something to cry about… and the ex-husband would berate me for crying or even tearing up, so …
😞 I used to get in trouble for crying as a child, too.
There’s nothing as beautiful as the Bible, that’s for sure. Your comments broke my heart, though, Barb. How I wish you’d had a safe place to share emotions like that. What a beautiful picture it is to me to know God holds all our tears. Hugs to you!
Reunion by Karen Kingsbury
I need to read that. I’ve heard a lot about it. 🙂
No one is off limit in an author’s family. That is cute of your husband. I have Waiting for Butterflies but I haven’t read it yet.
Haha, true! 🙂 Thanks for joining us, Sonnetta.
I’ve had many books that made me cry. The latest one was “The Masterpiece” by Francine Rivers. When a character comes to faith, it always gets me right through the heart! Especially when that character was such a vile sinner and God completely turns them around. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.
Thank you for such a fun interview and giveaway chance. Sharee, congrats on the debut book baby, I’m so excited for you!
I’ve heard a lot about that one, Trixi. I love Francine Rivers, so I need to get that one soon. 🙂 Sounds like another incredible read.
Good luck in the giveaway!
The last book that made me cry was Love Story by Karen Kingsbury.
I’ll have to check that one out, Rose. I haven’t heard of it before. 🙂
