I enjoyed this story from start to finish. It takes us to Canada just after WWI and introduces us to a cast of characters full of grit and kindness. Grace and Andrew become our friends and their struggles feel like our own. They love their families deeply and sacrifice a lot for their happiness. Their lives aren’t without heartache, but their courage and bravery in the hard times should inspire us all.

There is great conflict and tension throughout the story, which kept the pace flying fast. I was eager to see what would happen to Grace’s nephew. The title matches the story perfectly! Grace and Andrew are both full of good intentions, but things don’t always go according to plan. The lessons they learn are good for us to remember too.

The romance builds softly and captured my heart. These two are meant for each other and yet SO many obstacles lay between them. Just when the plot answered one question, a new one popped up in its place. Such a fun book to read! I encourage you to check out!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
