Let me just start by saying I LOVE THIS BOOK. Seriously, guys, it’s one of my favorites ever! If you’ve read it, you know what I’m talking about. 😉 And if you haven’t read it, then this is your chance!
Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors and I hope you’ll check out her stories, if you haven’t already. This Christmas, I thought it would be fun to give away an extra copy of this beloved book. (Note: It’s a gently-used copy. I picked it up at a library book sale just for you!)
Maybe you’ve never read it or maybe you’d like to give it as a gift… either way I hope it’s a blessing to you! It certainly blessed my heart. I first read it years ago and still remember it in detail to this day!

ABOUT THE BOOK:
California’s gold country, 1850. A time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep. Angel expects nothing from men but betrayal. Sold into prostitution as a child, she survives by keeping her hatred alive. And what she hates most are the men who use her, leaving her empty and dead inside. Then she meets Michael Hosea. A man who seeks his Father’s heart in everything, Michael Hosea obeys God’s call to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel’s every bitter expectation until, despite her resistance her frozen heart begins to thaw. But with her unexpected softening come overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. And so Angel runs. Back to the darkness, away from her husband’s pursuing love, terrified of the truth she can no longer deny: Her final healing must come from the One who loves her even more than Michael Hosea does…the One who will never let her go. A life-changing story of God’s unconditional, redemptive, all-consuming love. Over 1 million copies sold!

Hi Connie! You’re going to laugh at me, but when you mentioned this book it sounded so familiar to me and I didn’t know why. I googled it and sure enough… I remember on an episode of FRIENDS where one of the characters, Joey, read from this exact book. It was so precious! 🙂 I love that you mentioned it here.

I remember when I was reading the Mark of Lion series and I would get mad because peope kept interrupting my reading. I recently borrowed them from a friend to reread. I read Redeeming Love years ago and enjoyed it. I love Ms Francine books.
Haha, Sonnetta! I know the feeling. 😉 The first time I was reading through the series, when I was close to the end of the first book, I was so upset at my sister for telling me to read it. The story was just breaking my heart. She just smiled and told me to keep reading. 😉 I’m so glad I did!
Francine’s books are definitely worth re-reading!
